David Motzenbecker, Founder of Motz Studios, a visionary thinker, inspirational speaker, and expert at public engagement and facilitation will lead attendees in a welcoming invitation to connect to the farm and the land with all of their senses. Connecting visitors to the land at large and small scales, he will set the tone for appreciating and noticing the day's planned activities at a deeper level, encouraging all to go beyond the surface and into the sensory realm to see what they notice.

Lise Wolff, MSc in Herbalism, RH-AHG, has been teaching and practicing drop dose herbalism in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the last 30 years. She harvests her pharmacy from weeds that grow prolifically and loves to share her knowledge with students of all levels. Lise will be taking participants onplant hikes where you are able to meet the plants themselves. Her plant walks are based on actual case histories, with a focus on using the abundance of local plants that surround you, often mistaken for simple weeds.

Phil Heywood plays fingerstyle guitar with a bluesy swing and a bucketful of whatever it takes to turn an instrumental piece into an arresting lyrical narrative. His lucid playing encompasses the down-home rhythmic groove of a Mississippi John Hurt or Leadbelly, and the sheer fluidity and melodic flair of such contemporaries as Leo Kottke. A soul-satisfying instrumentalist, Phil draws listeners in with his voice as well, singing in a warm, plainspoken baritone that blends smoothly with his rock-solid guitar work.

Edie Barrett, is a committed Jungian, a writer, poet, and a solo exhibiting fine artist who lives on the vast open prairie, hangs clothes on the line, and rings the bell at the post office. She will explore the inner connection of species, landscape, and soul through literary art, academic research, reflection, and audience engagement.
